Paula Griffin

As one of New Zealand’s quickest rising Netball stars, Paula Griffin joined the Silver Ferns squad in September 2006. Her dedication was rewarded with a call-up for the Silver Ferns tour of England in May 2007.

Paula, who is the second youngest player in the squad, has captained the New Zealand under-21 team and with her help the team enjoyed the success of finishing second in the 2009 World Youth Netball Championships.

Playing at goal attack, she made the Silver Ferns starting line-up for the 1st time in the 3rd Test against the World 7 on 29 August 2009; the 3rd Holden Test against Australia on 13 September 2009, and the 1st Test of the New World International Series against Australia on 20 September 2009.

Griffin made it on to the Commonwealth New Zealand Netball team in Delhi 2010 and they successfully defended their place as Gold medallists.

If you think you can follow in the footsteps of Paula you should contact the Commonwealth Games Association or National Netball Association in your country.
